MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, OHIO, - November 21, 2008 —The State of Ohio’s Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation (BCI) will no longer accept ink and roll fingerprints on paper fingerprint submission cards. The BCI now requires digital fingerprints be electronically sent as a part of a criminal background investigation. Paper cards will begin being returned by the State as early as this month.
Corporate Screening, a leading employment screening and background investigation firm, is one of five Ohio-based companies that can assist organizations, such as hospitals, nursing homes, colleges and day care providers, in electronically transferring paper fingerprint submission cards so that they can then be submitted to BCI. Organizations affected by the new electronic requirement can continue to utilize their current ink and roll fingerprints without making a sizeable investment in new technology to meet the BCI’s electronic requirements by utilizing Corporate Screening’s fingerprinting services. Corporate Screening is the fourth largest fingerprint processor in the state of Ohio.
