Our primary goal is always to get you the background screening results that you need as quickly as possible and without compromising quality by cutting corners. While we could make our background screening turnaround time even shorter than it is if we skipped a few steps, we believe it’s more important to get the screening right than it is to save a few hours.
Let’s use employment verification as an example. Background screening companies can quickly turn those verifications around when a former employer is currently in business, complete information on the former employer is provided by the candidate and the former employer replies to verification requests quickly.
But what happens when things don’t work out that smoothly as is often the case?
Where many competing background screening companies would report that the verification cannot be conducted or decide to use a source for verification that does not have complete and accurate information (supervisors, secretaries and other coworkers) simply for the sake of turnaround, Corporate Screening focuses on quality. Vague, incomplete and inaccurate information returned quickly leaves a customer with a false sense of security.
There are a few things you can also do to cut out delays and allow our investigators to work as quickly as possible:
- Complete all information
Missing or incorrect information is one of the biggest reasons turnaround times get extended. By making sure Corporate Screening has all crucial information right away, you won’t have to keep going back to your applicant asking for more information.
- Include applicant full legal name and aliases
By including your applicant’s full legal name as well as all other identifiers, you’re helping our court investigators find the right records the first time.
- Collect identifiers from official documents
Allowing your applicants to provide their own identifying information could be dangerous. Applicants with poor handwriting might provide illegible information, increasing turnaround time and possibly hurting accuracy. Applicants with something to hide might also purposefully provide inaccurate information by switching the numbers on their date of birth or Social Security number. The best way to collect identifiers is by taking them directly from official documents like a driver’s license, Social Security card or state ID card.
