The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that it has delayed the effective date for using the revised Form I-9 that was originally scheduled to go into effect this week until April 3, 2009. Please note: Employers who use the new form prior to the April 3rd effective date are subject to civil monetary penalties.
