Corporate Screening’s partner, Form I-9 Compliance, has provided us with new information about automated E-Verify processing that will take place during the government shutdown.
For clients with both the Form I-9 and E-Verify service, Form I-9 Compliance will be able to automatically submit E-Verify requests that have been completed since the government shutdown began at 12:01 AM EST on October 1, 2013. This means that the initial request will be automatically submitted and you will just need to follow up as usual with pending cases and select appropriate case resolution options for records in a final status.
For clients utilizing a B2B integration, you will also receive the B2B status results for these E-Verify submissions.
Please note if you do not want Form I-9 Compliance to automatically submit these E-Verify cases when the government shutdown ends, you must notify them by sending an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
At this time there is no specific information regarding the end of the government shutdown. For information about E-Verify policies implemented during the shutdown, you can view our client alert posted on October 1, 2013 by clicking here. As a reminder, once the shutdown ends, you will be able to process E-Verify queries as usual.
We understand that the government shutdown has presented you with some unique problems. As the shutdown persists, Corporate Screening will continue monitor happenings and will update you with additional information as we learn more.
