DHHS Office of Inspector General (OIG) List Search
Search of the Office of Inspector General’s (OIG) List of Excluded Individuals and Entities (LEIE). The OIG has the authority to exclude individuals and entities from Federally-funded health care programs. Anyone who hires an individual or entity on the LEIE may be subject to civil monetary penalties (CMP). Record matches are confirmed by exact name and at least one additional identifier.

General Services Administration (GSA) List Search
Search of the General Services Administration’s (GSA) Excluded Parties List System (EPLS) via SAM (System for Award Management). The purpose of EPLS is to provide a single comprehensive list of individuals and firms excluded by Federal government agencies from receiving federal contracts or federally approved subcontracts and from certain types of federal financial and non-financial assistance and benefits. Record matches are confirmed by exact name and at least one additional identifier.

These individuals and entities may be a threat to global and national security and in most cases cannot be legally employed. The data sources searched typically include the over 100 global sources.

National Practitioner Data Bank Search (NPDB)
The NPDB / HIPDB are primarily an alert or flagging systems intended to facilitate a comprehensive review of health care practitioners’ professional credentials. The information contained in the data banks is intended to direct discrete inquiry into, and scrutiny of, specific areas of a practitioner’s licensure, professional society memberships, medical malpractice payment history, and record of clinical privileges and to combat fraud and abuse in health insurance and health care delivery. The information contained in the data banks should be considered together with other relevant data in evaluating a practitioner’s credentials; it is intended to augment, not replace, traditional forms of credentials review.

CS Healthcare Fraud and Abuse Search
The CS Healthcare Fraud and Abuse is a database information service that offers sanction histories on individuals and entities in the healthcare field. It reports on disciplinary actions from exclusions and debarments to probation and letters of reprimand. The search includes information provided by Federal agencies as well as more than 800 licensing and certification agencies located in all 50 states. CS Healthcare Fraud and Abuse provides information on more than 50 types of healthcare professionals, from physicians and midwives to home health agencies and ambulatory services. The search also references the Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) SDN and Blocked Persons List. Records found in database will be verified with the original reporting source and refined with the most accurate, up-to-date information.

Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Debarment List
Search of the public list of firms or persons debarred by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, U.S. Food and Drug Administration pursuant to sections 306(a) and (b) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (21 U.S.C. 335(a) and (b)) as published in the FEDERAL REGISTER (FR).

State Registry, Excluded Party, Debarment and Sanction List Searches
The Nurse Aide Registry keeps track of those individuals who have met written and skills test criteria to be certified for employment in long-term care settings, usually nursing homes. The registry also maintains records of those nurse aides who have had a finding of abuse, neglect or misappropriation of property against them.
